Reassign Your Mind
During the 3-day Reassign Your Mind workshop hosted at the Vine Street Community Center, students ages 11–15 came together for a powerful and creative anti-bullying experience designed to encourage self-expression, confidence, and positive peer connection. Cohosted by Puddingstone Creatives’ Verna Hampton alongside guest artists and collaborators from Colloquium Depot Ltd., participants engaged in open conversations about bullying, emotions, and mental wellness in a safe and supportive environment.
Throughout the event, students explored multiple forms of creative expression through interactive arts and “edu-tainment” activities. Participants designed and painted custom Reassign Your Mind T-shirts, collaborated in music and spoken-word sessions with multi-instrumentalist Chibuzo Dinum, and created original “INK” paper tattoo artwork with tattoo artist Amaryah Guerra. Guided discussions and team-building activities encouraged students to share their thoughts and experiences while building empathy, confidence, and community with their peers.
The workshop created a vibrant atmosphere filled with creativity, healing, laughter, and empowerment. By combining art, dialogue, and mentorship, Reassign Your Mind gave young people an opportunity to reframe negative thinking, celebrate individuality, and leave feeling seen, heard, and inspired.
